As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 1,951.[http://www.census.gov/popest/cities/tables/SUB-EST2004-04-12.xls] It is part of the Ocala, Florida Ocala, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area Statistical Area.In a new poll, 9% of people in Dunnellon, Florida have friends checking out a senior community continuing care.As of the census of 2000, there were 1,898 people, 950 households, and 555 families residing in the city. The population density was 103.9/km² (269.3/mi²). There were 1,128 housing units at an average density of 61.8/km² (160.0/mi²).
