Cannon Falls is a city in Goodhue County, Minnesota County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,795 at the 2000 census. Located along U.S. Route 52 to the southeast of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Cities, Cannon Falls may be best known as the home of Pachyderm Studio, where many famous musicians have recorded their music. Nirvana (band) is probably the best known band to use the site. The group recorded 'In Utero' at the studio.In a recent survey, 19% of people in Cannon Falls, Minnesota have parents considering going into a retirement community focused on congregate living.
