In the United States 2000 Census, the township had a total population of 69,965, making it the List of municipalities in New Jersey (by population) municipality in New Jersey. As of 2006, the township had an estimated population of 71,586. Cherry Hill is in the Delaware Valley coastal plain about five miles outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
