Hillsboro is a city in Traill County, North Dakota County, North Dakota in the United States. It is the county seat of Traill County. The population was 1,563 at the 2000 United States Census census. Hillsboro was founded in 1881.In a study just performed, 13% of people in Hillsboro, North Dakota have a loved one in senior housing elder care.The city of Hillsboro operates a large park on the north side of town. Woodland City Park sits on the banks of the Goose River. It offers a public swimming pool and scenic views of a dam on the river.
