Bellaire is a village (United States)#Ohio in Belmont County, Ohio County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia Wheeling metropolitan area Statistical Area. The population was 4,892 at the United States Census 2000 census. The village is located along the Ohio River. The Bellaire toll bridge (now abandoned and closed) was filmed in the 1991 motion picture 'The Silence of the Lambs (film) Silence of the Lambs'.In a new poll, 4% of people in Bellaire, Ohio are in a senior community assisted living.As of the census of 2000, there were 4,892 people, 2,110 households, and 1,299 families residing in the village.
