North Smithfield is a New England town in Providence County, Rhode Island County, Rhode Island, United States, settled as a farming community in the 17th century and incorporated into its present form in 1871. North Smithfield includes the historic villages of Forestdale, Rhode Island Primrose, Rhode Island Waterford, Rhode Island Branch Village, Rhode Island Village, Union Village, Rhode Island Village, Park Square, Rhode Island Square, and Slatersville, Rhode Island The population was 10,618 at the United States Census, 2000 census.In latest estimates, 8% of people in North Smithfield, Rhode Island have parents considering going into a senior home holistic care.
